What are PDO threads?
PDO or PolyDioxanone threads are fine absorbable threads which when placed just under the skin, cause stimulation and tightening of the skin. PDO sutures are commonly used in many surgeries.
What is the Ultra V Lift?
Ultra V Lift describes a popular Korean technique involving the use of PDO threads to produce the “V-shaped” face by lifting and tightening facial skin. It is performed in over 2000 Korean clinics.
Which areas can be treated?
The most common treatment areas are the jawline, double chin, cheeks and brows.
Who is suitable for an Ultra V Lift?
Any patient who has started to notice the effects of ageing such as skin laxity and sagging. It is more suitable in mild to moderate cases of ageing. More severe cases would benefit more from stronger lifting procedures such as a Silhouette Threadlift or a surgical Facelift.
How long is the procedure?
The procedure usually takes about half an hour.
How long is the recovery time?
There is usually minimal downtime. Most patients return to work the same or the next day. There may be occasional mild bruising.
